Privacy Policy
Short version: your files never leave your device. RayoPDF compresses PDFs entirely inside your own browser — there is no upload step, no user account, and nowhere your documents could be stored.
Your PDF files
- Your browser reads the PDF you select into its own memory, on your device.
- Images and document structure are optimized locally, using code and libraries bundled with this site.
- The compressed file is downloaded straight back to you.
At no point is your document sent to a server. You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, watch the network tab while compressing, and you will see zero file transfers.
This website: cookies, analytics and advertising
As of today, this site sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts — there is literally nothing here that reports back to third parties.
If that ever changes (for example, privacy-respecting analytics or ads to keep the tool free), this policy will be updated first, and file processing will remain local regardless: your PDFs are never uploaded, with or without ads.
Optional: saving to a folder
On browsers that support it, you may be offered a system save dialog to choose where the result goes. That dialog is provided by your own browser and operating system; RayoPDF never sees your folders.
Note: this page reflects how the tool works today.
